We have a few awesome Juno Arts classes happening this fall! Juno Arts is Boise Rock School’s sister nonprofit organization founded on the belief that the Treasure Valley needs more youth digital media arts education. Learn from Boise’s best industry professionals about filmmaking, graphic design, photography and more!

Here are the deets:

 

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Learn how to take your photos to the next level! During this hands-on learning class, students will learn the fundamentals of digital photography, including: basic camera settings and functions, lighting, composition, aperture and visual storytelling. If you don’t have a digital camera of your own, no worries! We have extra that students can check-out for the class.

Ages: 10-18

Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Class Time: Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 pm

Session Dates: August 27th – November 12th

Cost: $125/month (all supplies and materials are included in the cost of the class)

 

2D MIXED MEDIA ART – BEGINNER / INTERMEDIATE

Our introductory mixed media art class will cover different forms of two dimensional art including drawing, painting, collage, and printmaking. Students will learn about color, composition, space, mark making, and more!

Ages: 8-18

Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Class Time: Thursdays from 5:30-7:30 pm

Session Dates: August 28th – November 13th

Cost: $150/month (all supplies and materials are included in the cost of the class)

 

2D MIXED MEDIA ART – INTERMEDIATE / ADVANCED

This class will explore still life drawing and painting, printmaking, collage, fabrics, textiles, and more. Students will build their composition, mark making, and technical skills while also recording sketchbook observations and prompts outside of class. 

Ages: 13-18

Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced

Class Time: Fridays from 3:30-5:30 pm

Session Dates: August 29th – November 14th

Cost: $150/month (all supplies and materials are included in the cost of the class)

 

INTRO TO FILMMAKING

In this introductory class, students will work towards creating a short film. We will explore special effects, costuming, script writing, directing, filming, and editing! Students will decide amongst themselves which roles they will fill (art department, camera crew, cast, etc.) and will learn about the different moving parts that go into making a film.

Ages: 8-18

Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Class Time: Mondays 4:30-6:30 pm

Session Dates: August 25th – November 10th

Cost: $150/month (all supplies and materials are included in the cost of the class)
