Digital Photography

Learn how to take your photos to the next level! During this hands-on learning class, students will learn the fundamentals of digital photography, including: basic camera settings and functions, lighting, composition, aperture and visual storytelling. If you don’t have a digital camera of your own, no worries! This class is geared towards students at a beginner to intermediate level, open to ages 10-18. All supplies and materials are included in the cost!

2D Mixed Media Arts (Beginner - Intermediate)

Our introductory mixed media art class will cover different forms of two dimensional art including drawing, painting, collage, and printmaking. Students will learn about color, composition, space, mark making, and more! The class will culminate in a final gallery show hosted at Boise Rock School. This class is geared towards students at a beginner to intermediate level, open to ages 8-18. All supplies and materials are included in the cost!

2D Mixed Media Arts (Intermediate - Advanced)

In advanced 2D art we will explore still life drawing and painting, printmaking, collage, fabrics, textiles, and more. Students will build their composition, mark making, and technical skills while also recording sketchbook observations and prompts outside of class throughout the week. The class will culminate in a final gallery show hosted at Boise Rock School. This class is geared towards students at an intermediate to advanced level, open to ages 13-18. All supplies and materials are included in the cost!

Intro to Filmmaking

In intro to filmmaking, students will work towards creating a short film. We will explore special effects, costuming, script writing, directing, filming, and editing! Students will decide amongst themselves which roles they will fill (art department, camera crew, cast, etc.) and learn about the different moving parts that go into making a film. Open to students ages 8-18.
