Fabric Manipulation Sewing / Soft Sculpture Workshop – $60 (includes materials)
Friday, November 7th from 10 am – 1 pm (Ages 18+)
Saturday, November 8th from 10 am -1 pm (Ages 13-18)
In our fabric manipulation workshop, we will explore a variety of different fabric manipulation techniques–which can be applied to many different uses of fabrics and textiles (fashion items, sculpture, etc.). We will go over the basics of hand sewing as well as machine sewing and different visual effects we can get from different stitches and techniques. We will practice these techniques in class by creating fabric collages.
Filmmaking Workshop – $120 (includes materials)
Friday, November 21st, 10 am -4 pm (Ages 18+)
Saturday, November 22nd, 10 am – 4 pm (Ages 10-18)
In this workshop, students will work towards creating a short film. We will explore script writing, creating a shot list, directing, filming, and editing! Students will learn about the different moving parts that go into making a film.
Beginner Printmaking Workshop – $60 (includes materials)
Friday, December 12th from 10 am – 1 pm (Ages 18+)
Saturday, December 13th from 10 am – 1 pm (Ages 10-18)
In our one day printmaking workshop, we are going to explore the history of printmaking, and create our own linocut photo prints! After diving into the history of different forms of printmaking from the printing press to film photography, we will carve linocut stamps, which can be used as many times as desired.
